Please read through our terms and conditions before placing an order.

All the photos on our website are used for illustrative purposes, to help you to get an idea of how the blind may look when fitted. As computers, iPad, phones or monitors etc., differ in quality and shading, fabrics or blinds may appear different than that you see on your monitor.

To ensure that you are happy with fabric, please order a sample before ordering so that you can check the fabrics in daylight or night light. Small variations may occur during the production of fabrics resulting in minor variations. As a result, we would not be able to accept a change in pattern or colour in sample and blinds sent to entitle you as a right to reject the goods or to claim compensation.

Blinds which you order are manufactured according to the measurements you provide in your order, it is very important that your measurements are accurate. Please ensure you double- check your measurements before submitting your order, as we will not accept returned goods if measured incorrectly or the wrong sizes are entered on the website. We will not be held responsible for blinds fitted incorrectly either by you or someone you employ to fit your blind/s.

When we manufacture your blinds we reserve the right to select the components that are available from our manufacturer’s catalogue to produce your blind. There are often a number of trucks or travellers for example that may fit your head rail. Another blinds company may choose different components from the manufacturer’s catalogue from us.

Please also check the options made on your order. We are unable to accept responsibility for wrong choice selection once blind have gone into production and have been made as your blinds are a made to measure product.

As all blinds are custom made to your exact requirements, we would not be able to use them for another customer. Once your blind has been manufactured, we would not be able to cancel the order.

All blinds are checked for quality control before they leave the factory.

Our online store invites you to buy Goods from us. When payment has been received in full from you then, a legally binding contract with you will only arise with meritblinds.co.uk trading as Merit Blinds.

Payment can be made by using major Debit Cards and Credit Cards.

We do not accept payment for American Express as the charges for taking such a payment are expensive.

We use an encrypted gateway to reduce the risk of your payment details being used without your authorization.

  • NB  You will need to use a card that is registered to your address.
  • Enter the details of  the address as found on the card statement.
  • These details form part of the authorization process.
  • It protects against fraudulent un-authorized use of a card.

Alternatively, blinds can be paid for by BACS. We will accept your order once payment has gone through the banking system.

  • NB You will receive a confirmation email confirming that your order has been placed and the message will say that this part of the order process is complete. 
  • Please ensure the email address you use is the correct one.
  • Sometimes confirmation goes to the junk or spam email.

We will then process the order.

You have the right to cancel an order if:

(a) Where goods are not available;
(b) Where the customer fails to enter their full address and post code that can be verified by the bank.
(c) Where we cannot obtain authorization for your payment;
(d) If there has been a pricing or product description error;
(e) If you do not meet any eligibility criteria set out in our terms and conditions;
(f) We have insufficient stock to make and deliver the goods ordered;
(g) If you have ordered from a County, Island or Country where we do not deliver to;
(h) The goods ordered unknown to us have suddenly been discontinued from our supplier.

 We reserve the right to decline and cancel your order if one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price. The same applies due to a typographical error or an error in pricing information.

We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver ordered goods for any delay caused by events or circumstance beyond our control.  For example strikes, disputes, system breakdown, network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident. Our prices maybe subject change without notice.

Delivery takes approximately 7-15 working days depending on order volumes, blind selected, stock and couriers. PLEASE EXPECT DELAYS OVER PUBLIC HOLIDAYS, as a result of COVID 19 or Brexit issues.

We deliver throughout the UK to the address specified on your order from our online shop. We advise all customers who are booking a handy man or fitter to install their blinds, not to book a date for them to be fitted until your order has been delivered and that you have checked that there are no defects and that all parts and brackets are complete.

All of our blinds are made to measure and we would need time to make them and deliver. We will deliver to the address given on your order.

The specified delivery terms do not apply during busy times of the year in addition to Bank Holidays, Christmas and Easter.

NB Delivery to the Channel Islands,Scottish Islands,Isle Of Man,Isle Of Wight,Northern Ireland or The Republic of Ireland may incur an additional extra charge. We will advise as we can if this will apply to you and what the extra charge will be once our courier confirm their charge. You will have the right to cancel your order if you are not happy to pay the extra charge.

All deliveries must be signed for. If on receipt of your blinds you notice that the box is/ boxes are damaged, then please  signed DAMAGED. This is very important in assisting us with claims against the courier. 

NB We are unable to claim for damaged goods if you ask the carrier to leave your parcel in another location without a signature. If the goods are damaged in this instance, we would not be able to remake your blind/s free of charge.

On receipt of your blind/s please check that you have the correct items. If there is something missing or damaged, please let us know within 3 days of receipt.

Please do not try to repair it as it will invalidate your guarantee.

All our blinds come with a 12 month manufacturer’s guarantee on manufacturing faults. The guarantee is invalid if the failure was caused by incorrect installation, accidental damage, misuse or abuse. Additionally, failure to follow the measuring instructions or fitting instructions will invalidate the guarantee.
